The Hedgehog is a robotic spike system designed to quickly deploy a mobile road barrier.
The Hedgehog unfolds on the ground a set of spikes designed to deflate the tires of vehicles. It can also be used in a fixed or temporary manner, to block a road or to secure an area that requires vehicle access control.
Inside the system, a powerful one-ton cylinder operates a mechanism designed by TECDRON engineers, allowing the spike strip to be quickly deployed (and retreated) to the ground in less than five seconds. The barrier length is settable up to 4 meters.
The system can be remote controlled, very discretely, thanks to a long range remote control very easy to use. It can also be operated in close range with a wired foot pedal.
